A Kitchen Crafted With Love

After settling on a functional layout for the kitchen the excitement of starting to pick all the finishes was the next big task. Craving classic features sprinkled with a modern flare this renovation project was exciting to watch, as the progress began to unfold. A sage-colored island, off-white cabinetry, warm-colored flooring, wood shelving, and vintage-inspired tiles set the overall tone for this new kitchen. Once all the finishes selected had the Sovereign stamp of approval the fun of selecting custom furniture pieces, paint colors and lighting was next up on the to-do list.

A custom dining table & chairs, counter stools, window coverings & fabrics were preselected and showcased to our client to select at her delight. A custom wood table that could seat up to eight was an important feature to the homeowner, as hosting celebratory occasions was inevitable in this tight-knit family home. After reviewing several options of dining chair styles two types of fabrics were selected to integrate into the overall look. A faux leather fabric for the King & Queen chairs and a rich taupe fabric in a tight basket weave coincided well with the table and leg stain color. A similar but darker basket weave was selected for the counter stools alongside a rich brown fabric with a subtle pinstripe for the Roman shades. Styling and decorating the kitchen was a blast. Wanting to continue with a classical & vintage vibe, botanical wall art, vases, and trays adorn the counters & walls of this great space. Staples such as pasta, cookies, coffee & tea occupy glass canisters and entice your taste buds while providing an inviting and welcoming look.
